Welcome to “Uniquely His!  By Divine Design You’re One of a Kind”

I can hear you asking, “just what is Uniquely His and how do I spell it?”  U N I Q U E L Y – its an adjective describing you as exceptional, irreplaceable, matchless, distinctive or one of a kind.  Believe it or not, that is you.  There is no one exactly like you.  Science tells us that DNA molecules unite in an infinite number of ways (10 to the 2,400,000,000th power).  That number is the likelihood of you ever finding someone just like yourself.  You’re more likely to win the lottery!  Yeah, like that’s going to happen any time soon.  The “Uniquely” is Who you are – unique in your personality blend and hue, unique in your gifts, abilities and desires, unique in your passions and interests.  All those give you a Unique Voice from which your life speaks.

The “His”’ is Whose you are – God’s.  If you’ve chosen to make Christ your Savior then you have a new identity; it’s called, “In Christ.”  Understanding, believing and receiving our identity in Christ is pivotal to our maturity as a believer.  Dennis Jernigan,in his book This is My Destiny, said that “finding our identity in Christ is fundamental to finding our destiny. ”   Know you identity, know your destiny.  No identity, no destiny.  This blog is dedicated to the purpose of helping God’s children find their identity in Christ (His) and their unique voice. By divine design you’re one of a kind – Uniquely His!

You did a fabulous job on Saturday on the Uniquely His Workshop, and it is your calling. I loved the “Uniquely His…” I just loved it when you went off on your tangents…you have so much to teach and preach. I would take this class again in a heartbeat. I am also hearing nothing but positive feedback. Also, I am working through all the information in the folder, continuing to be enlightend/strengthened.

I have also heard comments that others are now more interested in the “personality” information. I commented to them that it teaches you how others think, so as to understand their perspective on life, etc.

I do have a question: I do want to understand the comment you made about a weakness can be a strength taken to an extreme. If we have passions, what is the difference between the two. As I am an extremist, I sometimes wonder if my passions are taken to extremes.

Thank you, Angela, for acting in your passion and helping us ladies to understand ourselves, the people around us and our most wonderful Heavenly Father. I was blessed by the workshop on Saturday and am looking forward to the VBS (or Family Enrichment Week) ;-)

June Bug, regarding your question, my understanding of what Angela meant is that a Phlegmatic (who’s strength is easygoing and laid-back) could be a weakness in that she becomes too lazy, nothing gets done, or she is unable to make a decision because she’ll go along with anything - would be her strength taken to the extreme so it becomes her weakness. Angela said that our “Passions” are what keep us up at night (i.e Angela’s passion for Women keeping her up to the wee hours of the morning writing blogs, planning workshops, etc.)

    Is that right, Angela?

You are right on Alana with the strength taken to an extreme. However, if we have issues from the past or insecurities they can cause us to operate in our strength to extremes in order to get our own needs meet. If a Popular Sanguine isn’t getting the attention they need they can become overbearing with their volume while talking, laughing or playing. They may monopolize the conversation and invalidate others. The perfect melancholy may take perfection to an extreme by micromanaging or becoming a martyr and doing everything herself. Our personality motivates us to act in certain ways. A passion is a powerful or compelling emotion or feeling that motivates you to go beyond the norm. When I’m working in my passion I lose track of time, I get re-energized even though I was tired and ready for bed, my body language changes when talking about it and my eyes light up. Operating in my passion gives me joy and satisfaction. I believe that our personality will influence the kinds of passions we will have and they will be work together. I have a passion to learn and a strength of leadership. Consequently, I have been in leadership in areas where learning takes place. That is just one example. I hope that helps.

    (For Cheryl)
Just a note to let you know I was soooo blessed by this weekend. I have never embraced the truth of who I am in Christ before, I am being diligent and aggressive in identifying and replacing the lies that I have let run my life for 43 years. Thank you for your support it is valuable to me. You are a gifted speaker and an awesome sister in Christ. Love, Princess Cheryl
