Getting Real with Jaclyn Rowe, Personality Trainer

Published by Angela | Filed under Personalities, Interviews

Jacyln Rowe  is a professional speaker at the age of 24 for Monster.com’s  Making It Count Programs and has motivated and encouraged over 50,000 high school and college aged students in her home state of Missouri..  As a Personality Trainer she speaks in the corporate marketplace.  I interviewed Jaclyn on behalf of Uniquely His for the Valley Forge Christian College students.

What would you like the Valley Forge students to know about you ?

I am 24 years old….I have just been where they are and remember the challenge of making LIFE CHANGING decisions. What major should I choose? Will I get a job? Who should I date? Can I marry them? Should I marry them? When? Where will I live when I graduate? Will I graduate? When? and the list goes on….

What has been your biggest challenge with relationships?

Why figuring out the opposite sex of course! Males are odd creatures… More importantly, how does my behavior and attitude toward others affect not only my life, but theirs? Figuring out how to become a Godly woman and carrying that out in every relationship in my life was…excuse me….is challenging.

What advice would you give the students at VFCC about relationships?

Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize. I finally learned that it is true…”you can’t please everyone.” There is nothing better than a strong, true, and Godly relationship. Whether it be with a parent, friend, or potential spouse, a solid relationship rooted in the bond of Christ is SO IMPORTANT. However, relationships on every level take WORK. Focus on your relationship with Christ first. He is the only one who can help you answer those LIFE CHANGING questions! He has the plan. Then decide who in your life is truly “worth it” and grow and water those relationships using this material. Now remember, ALL PEOPLE are “worth it”, and this information will help with acquaintances as well. However, narrowing your focus will produce clearer results!

How has knowing the personalities helped improve your relationships?

Oh gees…we don’t have enough time or space to answer this one! This knowledge has helped me understand so many things about myself and those God has placed around me. I now understand why Nathan was the perfect fit to be my husband, why my dad is such a control freak…and why my mom always let him be, why my sister LIKES doing nothing, and why my brother is so crazy dangerous, my best friend so perfect and scheduled, my college roommates so weird, and my God SO GOOD! When you have the ability to understand where others are coming from it changes everything…the way you see them, the way you see life, and most importantly, the way you react to it all. Just wait…once you grasp this material…you’ll never be the same! Scary thought huh?

My website is jaclynrowe.com….coming soon!       Thanks Jacyln for keeping it real.

Notice how many times those interviewed have used the word “understand”. Understanding is like flipping the light switch in a dark room. The wiring was already there and the light bulbs which coincides with knowledge but someone had to flip the switch. The knowledge of the personalities has been there for years. We just need to acquire it for the lights to be switched. Using the information in our relationships brings understanding and cooperation while cutting down on frustration. Listen to the second podcast to get an overview of the personalities.

AWESOME!!! Great words of wisdom from such a young woman. Understanding where others and yourself are at and where they/you are coming from, changes the way you react to it all!!! Thank you Angela for being there and interviewing that young lady. Your steps are truly ordered by the Lord.
